JOY; unedited… is a work I'd like you to see yourself in. It embodies the complicated, messy, unapologetic, and chaotic nature of joy itself.

Too often, we justify, modify, reduce, redact, and edit our expressions of happiness. For what? To make others comfortable? To make ourselves feel more comfortable in the unrestrained nature of enjoyment? Who’s to say.

This is my expression of joy. A painting not for sale, intentionally left outside to deteriorate and weather, through time and circumstance. It is temporary, like all things, but it doesn't make it less beautiful. Its fleeting and changing nature makes it even more so.

This work exists simply to be enjoyed: by me, by you, and by the community it lives in.

JOY is an act of rebellion in times of restriction.
Do not apologize for your positivity.
Do not shrink from your optimism.
The world needs it now more than ever.
